Chain of Hope Gala Ball 2017 raises record £2.8 million

Arabesque were proud to be the lead sponsor of the Chain of Hope Gala Ball on November 17th 2017, where an incredible £2.8 million was raised on the night to help children all over the world receive cardiac care.

Launched in 1996, Chain of Hope has been working with world-renowned cardiac surgeons and medical teams to treat children from war-torn and developing countries who would otherwise find it almost impossible to receive the treatment they need.

Chain of Hope does this by conducting teaching and training missions at cardiac units that it supports around the world; these both treat children and provide onsite expertise and teaching for local cardiac teams. The charity operates an International Child Referral Programme, which transports children to Chain of Hope’s partner centres around the world for emergency, life-saving cardiac treatment.

It is estimated that as many as 15 million children die or remain severely ill every year from potentially treatable or preventable cardiac diseases. Through teams of pioneering medical professionals, Chain of Hope brings life-saving heart treatments to children in more than 43 countries. It’s vision is for all children around the world to have access to the cardiac treatment that they so desperately need.
