Machine Learning and Big Data Enable A Quantitative Approach to ESG Investing

Andreas Feiner, CEO of Arabesque S-Ray®, has contributed to the CFA Institute of Research Foundation’s latest Research Brief, entitled Mainstreaming Sustainable Investing. The Brief focuses on the diverse motivations driving investors towards sustainable investing and the different approaches and strategies which have resulting from them.

In the article, Andreas focuses on the utilisation of big data and machine learning to enable a quantitative approach to ESG investment. Using data from S-Ray®, the article explores how advances in technology have allowed us to capture vast amounts of sustainability information and make it relevant and understandable to investors.
